Hopefully in a day or two we will be able to announce the names and callsign of our successful intermediate candidates after successfully passing the exam on Saturday 21st January.
Maybe one of the committee members will forward the information to me or possibly post it to the blog themselves so that we can keep our ears open for the callsigns locally and give the guy our congratulations on air.
Please note that the next two club meetings are not as publised in this months Radcom, they have been swapped after it was published.

Well it was a pleasant surprise to see such a healthy turnout at the first club night of the year, I hope everyone who attended enjoyed DVD presentation by Mike GW6NLP it was quite enlightening.
It was also good to see some new face’s in attendance along with the regular attendees, Bob gave a current update of the clubs financial position and it appear that we are in a strong position so we are going to invest in some new equipment in the next few months.
Mike GW6NLP will be conducting the intermediate exam this weekend and I trust we will have some new successful intermediate licensees to announce on the web site next week some time.
Anyway thanks very much to all who attended on Tuesday evening, looking forward to seeing you at the next meeting when Glyn MW0BNB will be presenting a talk on the U534

I had to risk life and limb this morning to join the mad thronging crowds at the supermarket with my xyl, I managed to drag myself around wishing time would fly past so that I could get back home as soon as possible. I feel that I should be playing radio.
Just a warning to be careful out there on the roads today, most people have a touch of seasonal madness and on my short trip out this morning I encounterd one or two who obviously had thought on something other then driving safely.
Take care and have a good xmas.

This change was over due, I have been meaning to move the site over to a different publishing package for sometime now and I have taken the opportunity to to do so whilst I have been suffering from a bit of insomnia, nothing like keeping busy in the middle of the night…
It worked out quite well really as I would have been doing it over the Christmas period if I had not have done it now, I am removed the forum as it was not being used really and replaced it with a blog. It will make it easier for committee members to get general news on the site without too much fuss.
You never know, they may have a something to say that cannot wait until we all meet after the Christmas break.
Anyway on that point I would like to take the opportunity to wish all of you seasons greetings and best wishes for 2012.
Carl
